We’ve just hosted the latest in our series of HR Leaders’ Forums at Key Group HQ. The session was called “Working Towards A Mind Fit Workforce” and was especially relevant given that this week is Mental Health Awareness Week!
The two-hour session, delivered by Beth Wood of Mind Fitness, finished with a buffet lunch and was very well attended again.
Mind Fitness helps people by uniquely combining Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness to create an accessible and thoroughly enjoyable hands-on learning experience.
All employers know how much time is currently lost due to stress and stress-related illness. In this session we were given some key techniques to keep our teams working at peak performance and not cross the line into harmful stress. We also looked at some of the aspects of a negative mind-set that can cause us to self-sabotage and perform at a level below our best, focusing in on cognitive bias and automatic negative thoughts.
We found it to be a motivating session that will help us all unlock the hidden potential of our teams, and the feedback from the attendees was very positive – so much so in fact, that we are inviting Beth back to deliver another session, so watch this space for more news!
